Head of Communications for the German Museum Association
Sylvia Willkomm was born in Gdansk in 1980. She studied history of art, archaeology and Eastern European Studies in Hamburg. From 2007 to 2013, she worked for the Friends of the Kunsthalle in Hamburg as a study tour guide and seminar leader. Furthermore, she has been responsible for the coordination of the Federal Association of the German Museums of Fine Arts.
Since 2013, Sylvia Willkomm works as Head of Communications for the German Museum Association, where she is also responsible for the topics of copyright and digitalization. She is a member of the Copyright Committee of the German Cultural Council and head of the working group "IPR and Digitization" of the Network of European Museum Organisations (NEMO).
