Writer, President of European Writers‘ Council
Born 1973 in Bielefeld, Germany, Nina George is a prize-winning and international bestselling author and freelance journalist, who has published 28 books, some of them translated into 37 languages (‘The Little Paris Bookshop’, New York Times Bestseller).
Nina George is President of the EWC, the European Writers’ Council, representing 41 Writers’ Unions of Europe and 150.000 writers and translaters of the book and text sector. George represents the German Writers Union VS in the committee for authors’ rights at the German Culture Council, and serves in the administrative Board of Collecting Society VG Wort, where she chairs the Working Group on E- and Audio Books. George is founder of several writers’ NGOs like Network Authorsrights and Fair Bookmarket
George has worked since 1992 as a reporter and columnist and works as a speaker (authors’ rights, literature in the digital age, AI and arts, literature and economy, literature and society).
