musician and composer, chairman of the board of GEMA and member of board of Initiative Musik

- Born 1959 in Munich
- Since 1966: classically trained in piano, tenor horn, choral singing
- Piano and composition studies under Larry Porter and others
- 1983/84: study visit to the US
- Singer and bandleader in the groups CLIP and WEIGAND
- Keyboard player/pianist for various musicals and solo artists on tour in Europe
- 1987/88: worked as physician at Munich University Hospital after acquiring medical license and doctorate
- Since 1989: worked solely as composer and producer
- Composed numerous scores for TV, radio and advertising, incl. long-term on-air design for radio station Bayern 3 as well as various opening themes
- Chart hits, e.g. with Sportfreunde Stiller, Such A Surge, Mike Oldfield, Die Schweisser, Megaherz, Lovebugs, Gil, Bananafishbones, Wunder
- 1997: established music and multimedia production company PLAN 1 Media with studios in Munich, Berlin and St. Niklaus, Switzerland
- Music production and songwriting for over 300 German versions of songs for film and TV such as Meet the Robinsons, Enchanted, The Little Mermaid III, High School Musical, The Three Robbers, Little Einsteins, My Friends Tigger & Pooh
- Since 2003: chairman of the Bavarian Association of the German Composers Association (DKV)
- Since 2003: supervisory board member of the GEMA, chairman since 2017
- Since 2012: vice president of the German Composers Association
- Since 2012: supervisory board member of Initiative Musik
- Since 2016: chairman of the curators at Musikfonds
